Coffee and canvas with Sophie Macpherson

Sophie's bravely opened her beautiful studio at Emsworth Lodge , on the  Stansted Estate ,(just  a couple of miles down the road from Joel ) to the lucky public for two weekends 7/8th & 14/15th May as part of the Chichester Open Studio Trail.  I saw her on Sunday and we arranged to meet up with Joel on Tuesday  morning at her studio .

Joel was keen to see what materials Sophie used ...one of which is Nitromorse ! Whaaaaaaa !  Sophie says its great for cleaning up the pallet and forgotten brushes !! Naughtie , but like her style .
Her canvas's are top quality gorgeous   rabbit-skin primed linen , and she most generously donated some to Joel that she'd rashly  purchased a while ago and then never used.
So Joel v happy ! Left Sophie's with a big smile on his face ... and spurred on the get painting.
